We must read your water meter before you move. Please call (701) 355-1700, Ext. 1 for an appointment. If you have an automatic meter reader connected to your phone line, we must get a reading before your phone service is discontinued.
If you are purchasing a new property
Fill out a Service Agreement form at 601 S. 26th St. or you may fill out one of these online forms:
When filling out these forms you can submit them electronically by clicking the submit button at the bottom of the page or print them and return them to the Water Billing office:

- By fax (701) 221-6840)
- In person (601 S. 26th St.)
These forms must be received in the office prior to the day you want services put into your name. The effective date on Service Agreements can not be a weekend or holiday.
If your new address is outside of Bismarck city limits, please contact South Central Water Users at (701) 258-8710.
Stopping Water Service and Charges
To stop billing charges for water and sewer, the water must be turned off at the street. Call (701) 355-1700, Ext. 1. Automated meter readings report once a month by telephone line. Landline telephone lines must work for these meters to report. If you have questions or comments regarding your water bill you may email the Water Billing office.
